Two years ago I was invited to capture this wonderful couple’s precious baby boy and this weekend I had the amazing experience of also photographing their second beautiful son. It was such fun watching this proud big brother interact with his new sibling, playmate and future fellow mischief maker! Soft, natural and full of love — everything a family session should be!
My favourite part of shooting any wedding is the couple portraits part of the day. The ceremony is over, the stress is off and the couple melts into one another during their first few moments as newlyweds. It is always a sweet, serene and romantic moment and I always feel very lucky to be asked to capture these happy moments.
Let’s frolic in the leaves! Whether you want to update your family photos, capture an awesome couple’s portrait (I’m looking at you newlyweds!), or celebrate your fur-baby, Fall Mini Sessions are a super fun way to keep the family album current and beautiful!
I recently spent a lovely morning with a beautiful six-month-old baby girl and her parents in picturesque Cobourg! Have you ever visited Cobourg? Well, it is a beautiful lakeside town. And a mere stone’s throw away from Lake Ontario I settled down with this family to capture the gurgles, the giggles and the grins of their little girl. More cuteness from this session coming soon!
You know how people say that university days are magical? Well to be perfectly honest I never really believed it until exploring the gorgeous downtown campus of The University of Toronto with this lovely couple on their wedding day. Around every corner was a gorgeous photo opportunity made even sweeter by the down-to-earth attitude of these high-school sweethearts and their lovely day! More from this wonderful celebration coming soon!
This family had the brilliant idea of scheduling a family photo session the day before their daughter’s wedding so they could include their very dear grandparents in the shoot as well. Isn’t that lovely?
After all, everyone is already gathered for the big event, so making time for a fun and casual family portrait session is practically a piece of wedding cake! Seeing three generations of this close-knit family together was wonderful and we laughed the afternoon away while capturing lovely moments that will be treasured forever.
There are some weddings that you simply do not want to end and this beautiful celebration at Strathmere, Ottawa was one of them. Every single moment of this day was bursting with love — love between friends, between family and of course between this lovely bride and groom.
We celebrated through extreme heat, surprise showers and a picturesque sunset without ever skipping a beat in the happy mood! Heartfelt speeches, humour at every turn and a love story that really is the stuff movies are made of — how I wish jumping into these photos would take me back to the whole day!
On Sunday I spent a wonderful few hours with an amazing up-and-coming fashion blogger who has such a beautiful sense of empowered style! I cannot wait to share more from this collaboration with you, but for now it is top secret! Stay tuned for more! (Also, as a side note, how fantastic is this floral crown?)
Welcoming a new baby home is beyond exciting! Especially if you’re going to be a big sister for the very first time! This wonderful family invited me to capture some of their girls’ earliest moments together as sisters, so we cozied up in the backyard and spent a lovely afternoon learning all about how to be a great big sis!
You know what I love most about photographing weddings? That no two celebrations or couples are the same and that each bride and groom have the freedom to infuse their day with their own sense of style. After a bit of creative collaboration these newlyweds decided to incorporate their love of dance into their portrait session and the results are truly beautiful! Had I been able to, I would have photographed this pair dancing around Liberty Village all afternoon, but we had a reception to get to (which was also delightful, more on that later!) Wishing this pair a lifetime of happiness, joy and dance!
Capturing newborn moments is such a privilege and it always makes my heart swell when families make the time to document this important time of life. I spent a lovely morning with these fantastic parents and their new squishy bundle of joy. Nothing fancy, just love and some timeless joy to cherish forever! How cute is this sweet baby?
Summer is the perfect time to update your family photo album and I had a ball chasing these sweet little ones around Trinity Bellwoods to capture some enormous smiles and lots of giggles! Relaxed, vibrant and unscripted — everything that photographs with kiddos should be!
Imagine you are invited to a bubbly brunch to celebrate your dear friend’s milestone 30th birthday, but when you walk out onto the patio you discover that your friend is actually — GETTING MARRIED right then and there! That is the scene that I was invited to capture this past weekend at the gorgeous Brookstreet Hotel in Ottawa.
With the help of Courtney Elizabeth Events this lovely couple surprised their dearest friends and family with an impromptu wedding ceremony followed by an incredible (and delicious!) brunch, complete with coffee, yogurt and mimosa bar.
Everything about this day was absolutely perfect. There was surprise, tears, touching spontaneous toasts, lots of laughter, darling coffee themed motifs sprinkled throughout the decor and so much more! This post is just a little sneak peek. Lots more to come very very soon! Congratulations to the happy couple!
Last weekend I took a beautiful scenic drive up to Ottawa to capture this lovely couple exchange vows at The Canadian Museum of Nature. This venue is absolutely stunning. The ceremony was housed in spectacular architecture and bathed in brilliant sunlight, which made the heartfelt readings and sentiments even more magical. Everything about this celebration was chic and sweet. Lots more to come soon!
I love when couples choose to have their wedding portraits taken in a location that is sentimental to them. This gorgeous St. Lawrence Market wedding was sweet, simple, stylish and STUNNING! We wandered the market area to capture some lovely moments on the bustling streets of Toronto and then danced the night away! So much more from this spectacular day to come!
Helping small businesses, up-and-coming brands and bloggers alike bring their creative visions to life is always such an incredible experience. A picture is quite literally worth a thousand words, so creating custom visual branding strategies to emotionally engage with an audience, attract new clients and standout in the marketplace is absolutely one of my favourite things to do! From detailed storyboarding, styling conception to actual execution, putting together a shoot for creative professionals is a blast! This Toronto fashion photography project was amazing!
Spring is in the air which means spring fashion is literally popping up all over the city! Creating a compelling fashion photography shoot is always such a joy! I love it all! The storyboarding and planning, the model coaching, the playing around and of course the final results! Here’s just a little something captured in Yorkville. Who knew denim and a colourful heel could look so good?
What I love most about capturing bride and groom portraits (in a fun and relaxed manner) is that literally everything is a sweet blissful moment. Take this scene for example. While walking around downtown Toronto and creating dramatic couple portraits framed by bustling traffic and towering skyscrapers, we stopped for a brief rest at a small unassuming patio. Bam! A beautiful moment unfolded and I was lucky enough to be lingering nearby with my camera!
