If there is one piece of advice that I cannot stress enough to budding and established entrepreneurs alike it’s this: write a business plan. Even if you aren’t actively looking for investors, a business plan is a fantastic exercise to help you understand your company inside and out, as well as its position in the marketplace. (more…)

TORONTO FASHION BLOGGER: 5 SUPER SIMPLE TIPS TO HELP YOU READ MORE
It’s somewhat ironic that I have no words for how much I love reading. However, finding time to curl up with a novel is a challenge when you’re running multiple brands, which means the stack of titles collecting on my nightstand recently started to resemble the leaning tower of Pisa. This year I am resolved to get back into a regular reading rhythm and thought I would share a few tips to help you also rekindle your love of literature, if you’re interested. (more…)

TORONTO FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER: MY FAVOURITE 2016 FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY MOMENTS
I have this personal motto that translates really well into my professional life — “You regret the photos that you don’t take.” Personally, I have deeply regret not having more photographs of myself and my family life when I was a teenager. This was before the time of selfies and cell phones and during that awkward time of life where you avoid your own reflection as much as possible. So whenever a family contacts me for a family session and I genuinely thrilled! (more…)

Engagement sessions are wonderful. Purely and simply wonderful, because they are an opportunity to capture a couple in love being themselves. This year I had the incredible experience of working with numerous lovebirds and creating just as many unique Toronto engagement sessions to suit a wide range of styles. We explored forests, we lingered in coffee shops, we danced as if no one was watching, we staked out a replica Ghostbusters car, we hid away in bookstores, we took long meandering walks by the lake — I even hid in the bushes (literally) to capture a surprise proposal! Above are just a few of my favourite engagement moments from 2016. How I wish I could share them all, but I’m afraid that if I did my heart would explore. (more…)
